5/15/2023 0 Comments Mars retrograde 2020 effectsthe shadow period and REVISITING OLD WOUNDS Whichever way it manifested in your life, frustration is likely a key descriptor for this season. You could have felt rudderless, or extremely irritated that things just don’t seem to be coming together. The other potential manifestation is that you still felt all the fire and drive Mars in Aries inspires, but since its retrograde, that get-up-and-go is at a loss for direction. Lethargy, tiredness and feeling “burnt out” are possible side effects. Mars in Aries is usually full of fire and drive, but retrograde you might have felt your chutzpah suffer. When Mars is in Aries there’s a fiery determination, a firm eye towards a clear goal, but during this retrograde that goal may feel just out of reach. This Mars retrograde period took place in Aries. Every planet has retrograde cycles (although they aren’t actually moving backwards, it just appears that way from our perspective on earth). Just a couple of months ago we dealt with Venus retrograde and Mercury retrograde, then on 9 September UTC (10 September AEST), Mars retrograde began. If things have been moving at a glacial pace, it’s not just you, it’s Mars retrograde. This Mars retrograde has been intense, with motivation and energy levels floundering while simultaneously, a lack of progress (thanks in part to Mars making a square to Saturn) has caused major frustration. This November, Mars retrograde wraps up its two-month (ish) cycle, marking the end of another big 2020 astrological event.
